Returns Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with every purchase from Autotech Tuning UK. This Returns & Refund Policy explains your rights and our procedures should you wish to return goods or cancel services. Your statutory rights under UK law — including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 — remain unaffected.

1. Consumer Right to Cancel (Distance Selling)

If you are a consumer, you have the legal right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving your goods.
You must notify us in writing (via email) within this period if you wish to cancel.

  • If you cancel before dispatch: we will issue a refund minus any outbound shipping costs already incurred.

  • If your order has been dispatched: you must return the goods to us at your own cost and risk.

2. How to Return Goods

To request a return, please email info@autotechtuning.co.uk with:

  • Your order number

  • Your reason for return

  • Clear photos or videos (if applicable)

Returned items must be:

  • Unused and uninstalled

  • In their original packaging

  • Complete with all accessories, documentation, and manuals

  • Returned within 14 days of you notifying us

Once we receive and inspect the item, a refund will be issued to your original payment method, minus any applicable fees.
Non-faulty returns are accepted at our discretion, and a restocking fee (10–20%) may apply to cover handling and inspection costs.

3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you believe your item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately at info@autotechtuning.co.uk with:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Supporting photos or videos

We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We reserve the right to inspect and test returned items. If:

  • The item is not faulty,

  • The issue arose from misuse, incorrect installation, or modification,

…we may refuse the return or charge for repair, retesting, and redelivery.

4. Items Not Eligible for Return (Unless Faulty)

The following items cannot be returned or refunded unless they are proven faulty:

  • Custom or made-to-order products

  • Bespoke tuning files and ECU remaps

  • Electrical items once fitted or connected

  • Software, downloads, or digital tuning maps

  • Items damaged through improper installation, misuse, or modification

  • Items returned outside the specified returns window

5. Service Cancellations (Remapping, Diagnostics, Installation, Dyno Work)

If you cancel more than 24 hours before your booking:
✔ A full refund will be issued (if prepaid).

If you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment:
✘ A cancellation fee may apply.

Once a service has started:
Cancellations are not possible. You will be charged for:

  • All labour completed

  • Any parts already supplied or installed

Custom tuning or mapping work is non-refundable once provided or completed.

6. Refund Processing Times

Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days after we receive and inspect your returned goods.
Please note: banks and payment providers may require additional time to release funds back to your account.

7. When Refunds May Be Refused or Reduced

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or deduct an appropriate amount if:

  • Goods are returned used, installed, or damaged

  • Parts, accessories, or manuals are missing

  • Original packaging is not intact

  • Goods are returned outside the agreed return period

  • Misuse, incorrect installation, or negligence is evident

8. Business Customers

This policy primarily applies to consumers.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, returns and cancellations are accepted only at our discretion, and statutory consumer cancellation rights do not apply.
